Production Notes - "Modesto Rock"

Production & writing experiment for a future project. Mostly programmed & reamped in-the-box, with the help of DI guitar samples, plugins and the like. Much tone tweakery, thanks to Tesla & Thin Lizzy for the general inspiration. No solos, just big, big riffs! \mm/

CapnZilog used:

Instruments: M-Audio Oxygen 88 keyboard, Ibanez MH-1000ET, MXR KfK EQ, Kemper Profiling Amplifier, Crane Song HEDD 192, V-Picks Dallas Custom

Libraries: Fredman Digital 8-Stringer Line DI, Ownhammer (r)Evolution IR bundle
Additional Effects: 2CAudio Breeze 2.5, Brainworx bx_shredspread* / Diezel Herbert, Cakewalk Perfect Space*, iZotope Neutron 3*,
DMG Audio EQuilibrium / TrackLimit, Slate Digital VCC / VMR / VTM, Waves API-560 / OneKnob Driver / RBass, Zynaptiq INTENSITY*

Mastering: DMG Audio Limitless, iZotope Insight*, Slate Digital VBC / VMR / VTM, BBE Sonic Maximizer 4.0*
Encoding: Sonnox Pro-Codec Manager 3.01.0, MP3Tag 2.99a

* I should mention that in the interest of trying to maintain a full double-precision signal path, I'm trying to wean myself off the plugins marked with an asterisk. Single-precision in 2019, really? Props to vendors like 2CAudio, DMG Audio, Slate, Voxengo (and usually Cakewalk) for doing the right thing! \mm/
** Teru Kamogoshira's double-precision Freeverb3_Impulser2 is the only double-precision convolver I've found to date, and better sounding on guitar cabs. Later mixes use this.
